Trafy: the first company in the world to introduce the Employability Index

Trafy has introduced the Employability Index, a single, verifiable score that measures how ready a candidate actually is to contribute from day one, making it the first company anywhere to formalise hiring readiness into one composite number instead of a resume, a college name and a gut-feel interview.

The score is built from three signals that, until now, no one had combined into a single pipeline: a 45-question round covering core computer science fundamentals, two Data Structures & Algorithms problems solved live against a 45-minute clock, and a cross-check against a candidate's portfolio, LinkedIn, LeetCode and GitHub. Each layer catches something the others can't, breadth of knowledge, applied problem-solving under pressure, and a real, sustained track record.

"Hiring has run on proxies for too long, a keyword match, a brand name, an hour of small talk," said a Trafy spokesperson. "The Employability Index replaces the proxy with a verified signal. Companies get a faster, fairer way to screen. Candidates get one score that actually reflects what they can do."

The Employability Index now runs as part of the Employability Path inside every Trafy Cohort, and early partner companies are already using it to shortlist Cohort '25 graduates directly, no resume screening required.
