The Employability Path
What is the Trafy Employability Index?
A single, verifiable score that tells hiring teams how ready you are to contribute from day one, built from your core fundamentals, how you solve problems under pressure, and the real work you've already shipped.
The assessment runs as part of the Trafy Employability Path. Apply to Cohort '26 to take it.
What it measures
One score, not a grade on a single test
Most hiring signals are one-dimensional: a resume line, a college name, a single coding round. None of them, on their own, tell a company whether someone can actually do the job.
The Employability Index is different. It's a composite score built from three separate signals, your grasp of core computer science fundamentals, how you solve problems under real time pressure, and verifiable proof of work you've already shipped, combined into one number a hiring team can trust and compare across candidates.
It's not designed to replace an interview. It's designed to make sure the candidates who get to interview are already worth that hour of a hiring manager's time.
The breakdown
How the Employability Index is calculated
Three rounds, each testing something the others can't.
MCQ Round
Covers the core computer science subjects every engineer is expected to know: Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems and System Design fundamentals. This is the breadth check.
DSA Round
Two Data Structures & Algorithms problems, solved live against a 45-minute clock. This is the depth check: can you actually reason through a problem under pressure, not just recognise the pattern.
Portfolio Verification
You submit your portfolio website, LinkedIn, LeetCode and GitHub profiles. These are cross-checked against your test performance, so the final score reflects a real, sustained track record, not one good day of test-taking.
The hiring side
Why companies ask for it
A resume tells a company what you claim. The Employability Index tells them what you can actually do, and how you'd fit into how they work.
-
Faster, fairer screening
One verified score to compare candidates against, instead of a recruiter scanning hundreds of resumes for keywords.
-
Confidence in the fundamentals
The MCQ round confirms you actually understand networks, OS, databases and system design, not just interview-prep scripts.
-
Real problem-solving, not memorised answers
The timed DSA round shows how you think under pressure, the same pressure a real sprint deadline puts on you.
-
Fit beyond the test
Cross-checking your portfolio, GitHub and LeetCode against your score gives companies a read on your overall fit into a professional, corporate environment, not just a single test-day performance.
See where you stand.
